Based Reverse Engineering
12 m Boat – 3D Scan-Based Reverse Engineering & Design Modification
A comprehensive reverse engineering and design modification study was carried out based on the existing mould and geometry of a previously built 12-metre boat.

The project was initiated to accommodate new design and performance requirements while retaining and modifying the existing platform. The original geometry was captured and used as the basis for the development of revised structural, exterior and arrangement solutions.
The scope included the structural redesign and restoration of the aft engine compartment, superstructure and centre console revisions, modification of the bulwark profile, and extensive changes to the aft arrangement.
The toilet compartment and engine room arrangement were revised, the aft section was redesigned, and a dedicated steering compartment was incorporated into the new layout. A parasailing take-off and elevated operating platform was also integrated into the vessel configuration as part of the operational requirements.

The reverse engineering process provided an accurate digital basis for coordinating the existing geometry with the new design requirements and for developing the subsequent engineering and production documentation.
